Spring 2025 Internships: Call for Applications

The Harriet and Kenneth Kupferberg Center (KHC) is accepting applications for one to two (1-2) temporary visitor services interns for the Spring 2025 semester. This is a temporary internship position and not a part-time job nor salaried position with the KHC. Applicants must be students currently enrolled at QCC in any discipline. Interns serve as greeters to the Center and help students and other visitors navigate the galleries by introducing the exhibits, distributing exhibition catalogs/educational materials, and showing how to use our custom audio tour. Interns also complete research projects and assist with administrative tasks as assigned.

Supervisors: This internship reports to the KHC’s Executive Director.

General Requirements: This is a part-time internship (in-person, 8-10 hours per week) that runs from February 18, 2025 through May 9, 2025. The intern(s) shall complete a daily log to document all hours worked and tasks completed. Students are expected to meet with the KHC’s staff each week to provide regular updates on their assigned projects.

Stipend: This is a temporary internship that includes a small stipend; it is not a salaried position. In order to receive the stipend, QCC requires interns to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States (US) prior to beginning the internship, including completion of the IRS Form W9 (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf). Upon completion of the projects and tasks by the assigned due dates, interns will then receive a $1,000 stipend in two payments. International students should contact QCC’s Center for International Affairs, Immigration & Study Abroad for additional guidance. Candidates unable to complete the required paperwork are eligible to participate as unpaid interns.

Application Deadline: Applicants must apply by Monday, February 3, 2025 by e-mailing a brief letter of interest (why you are interested in interning and why you would be a good candidate) and resume (education, work experience, skills) to KHC@qcc.cuny.edu.
