Hanne & Max Liebmann were born in Germany a few years apart and hidden in France during World War II. They later made their way to Bayside, Queens where they thrived, surrounded by a wide community network. In August 2026, the Kupferberg Holocaust Center celebrated their lives as survivors and longtime volunteers dedicated to preserving history by educating the next generation.
